What data sources does W.A.L.D.O.™ aggregate?
W.A.L.D.O.™ aggregates official government data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) — including QCEW employment by industry — the U.S. Census Bureau (ACS demographics and Building Permits), the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED), and WARN layoff notices. One platform, one schema, instead of stitching five APIs together by hand.
Can I use W.A.L.D.O.™ without the dashboard?
Yes — on the Professional plan. Every analysis the dashboard runs is also accessible through our REST API, our MCP server (for Claude / ChatGPT / Cursor), and outbound webhooks. You can pull WALDO data directly into your CRM, BI tool, Slack, or AI agent.
Which AI tools work with the MCP server?
Anything that speaks the Model Context Protocol — Claude Desktop, claude.ai, Cursor, and ChatGPT (with custom MCP connectors). We expose typed tools for searching markets, listing analyses, fetching economic-base / shift-share / supply / market-metrics results, and kicking off new analyses. See the MCP docs for setup.
How is this different from CoStar?
CoStar is a supply-side database — listings, comps, owner records. W.A.L.D.O.™ aggregates the demand-side data (employment, demographics, building permits, layoffs) that CoStar doesn’t cover, runs CCIM-grade analysis on it, and exposes the result through a REST API and MCP server so it can flow into the rest of your stack.
